Following the removal of the gall bladder there should be no discernable difference in your digestive system. The loss of the gall bladder does not seem to affect the body's ability to digest a fatty meal.
The only problem being that patients may put on weight following the surgery.
This is likely to be due to the abandoning of their restrictive pre-operative diet.

Long term effects of cholecystectomy have been examined and there is little evidence that the operation is followed years later by further "trouble" for the patient.
